Where to Share

Once communications are created, it is time to start sharing them out. When using social media, print materials in the building and the library website, the primary audience will be current library users. When sharing communications, you also want to consider how to reach non-library users. Think of places in your community that you can share and display your communications that will help reach non-library users.

Some examples to consider are:

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Local Pharmacy
  • Senior Centers or Senior Living
  • Youth Groups not affiliated with the school
  • Home School groups
  • Local churches
  • USPS mailing
  • Telephone poles
  • Bus stops
  • Local establishments with community bulletin boards
  • Career Centers
  • Presenting to the school board, town board, rotary club etc.

Not only will this help reach non-library users, but visiting local establishments will help you build relationships with business owners, local leadership and community members.
