STLS is requiring secure library card passwords. This will help us better protect your valuable information. After updating your password in STARCat, you will be prompted to update your password in the Libby app (approximately 24 hours later).
New passwords requirements are:
If an email address is included in your library record, you can easily reset your password yourself, by going to the STARCat website. Follow the instructions for “RESET YOUR PASSWORD.” Be sure to note or remember your new password, and update Libby too. Check out our password reset FAQ for more help, or contact your local library with questions.
Step 1: Navigate to the STARCat webpage. Follow this link: https://starcat.stls.org/client/en_US/default
Step 2: Click on “My Account” or “Log In.” Use the “Forgot my Password” link to reset your password via email.
Step 3: Enter your library card number, check the “I’m not a robot” box, and click “Submit.”
Step 4: You will receive an email with a reset link from: noreply@yourlibrary.stls.org
Step 5: Click the link in the email to reset your password.
Step 6: Enter your library card number and your new password (twice). Check the “I’m not a robot” box. Click “Update.”
Step 7: Success! Your Password was reset successfully.
